Sponsored skydive raises 2,000 pounds to help Bulgarian needy
Bulgarian Partners Trust supporter Julia Philpott completed a skydive on Saturday 10th October to raise much-needed money and awareness for people living in poverty in Bulgaria.
Not only did Julia thoroughly enjoy the experience ("Old enough for a bus-pass but not too old to skydive!" she said), but she also managed to raise more than 2,000 pounds towards to cost of the new centre to help those living on the fringes of society in Sofia.
Many thanks to everyone who sponsored Julia's skydive!

Bulgarian concert raises more than 2,500 pounds
A Musical Evening with a Bulgarian Flavour, which took place at Upton House, in Tetbury, Gloucestershire on Saturday, raised more than 2,500 pounds to go towards the building of the new medical, educational and training centre in Sofia.
Commenting on the successful evening, Geoff Wallis, honorary secretary of Bulgarian Partners Trust, said that in addition to raising important funds, it really helped to "raise the profile of the project."
Geoff said that the four Bulgarian violinists and one pianist, who performed a classical concert followed by traditional Bulgarian song and dance, "provided an excellent evening's entertainment" and the event offered the "opportunity for five young musicians to showcase their abilities in front of a discerning audience in a wonderfully grand setting."

Grand Auction raises more than 5,000 pounds!
The Grand Auction, hosted by Bulgarian Partners Trust and Fair Investment Company in Bristol last week, has raised more than 5,000 pounds to help people living in poverty in Bulgaria.
BBC Points West presenter Dave Harvey (pictured with Fair Investment Company directors James and David), did a great job as auctioneer, inciting several tense bidding wars for all sorts of things, from a day's gardening, to a gourmet meal cooked at the house of two chefs.
Thanks to everyone who donated items to be auctioned, and to those who came along and made the evening such a huge success!
